Farm Fresh Angus Beef!
Fox Wood Farm, Inc. raises Black Angus beef cattle on our farm in Rhinebeck, New York. Every year, we breed our herd with a pure bred Black Angus bull to produce our own calves for meat production. We never buy our animals from livestock auctions or other beef producers so we know exactly what our beef cattle have eaten and have been exposed to.
Our beef cattle are grass fed on our free range pastures where we utilize rotational grazing techniques to produce the best grass possible. In addition we feed our cattle a small daily grain supplement consisting of cracked corn, oats and soy beans. We do not utilize antibiotics or growth hormones as part of our process.
We raise our beef cattle in a sustainable environment. Every year, we fertilize our fields with cow manure and we protect our farm streams and ponds from manure run off by utilizing bio-swales and vegetative filters. Our barn is a zero energy building which utilizes natural daylighting and passive solar heating in the winter and natural ventilation in the summer.
